As a result, I’ve experienced the full spectrum of real estate professionals. Therefore, it’s with great pleasure that I write a review for Gretchen Osgood of Hawaiian Isle Real Estate regarding the sale of my condo in September, 2020.
Prior to meeting Gretchen, my property was listed for a year with another broker without a single offer. It was an STVR, which meant during that year I had to limit guest reservations (and income). Ouch!
As a business owner, I’m results-oriented and super picky. I interviewed several very competent brokers before choosing Gretchen. Other than her can-do, results oriented attitude, she was the only one with an answer as to why so many condos fall out of escrow and what to do to prevent that. She took the time to make sure my condo was ready for the market and what an appropriate selling price would be. She also kept in touch with me constantly during the process.
Right after listing, COVID-19 and its related shutdown hit. I made the decision to suspend. After a few months I noticed that properties were still going into escrow, albeit at a slower rate. Gretchen’s attitude was, “If properties are still selling, why can’t yours be one of them?” I gave her the go ahead to put it back on the market. Within a week, I had two offers and closed within 30 days. All of this during a quarantine!
I’ve had the pleasure of meeting several realtors on the Big Island. They were all friendly, competent, positive and have a strong knowledge of their field. Gretchen is all of that (and more) but brings results. If you are a buyer or seller, use Gretchen. You’ll be glad you did.
